I don’t really agree that Russia was influenced by western politics, I think Russia has been a nationalist country for a long time with great pride in their identity and a very delusional superiority complex. I doubt the Russians government suddenly just became less liberal cause of half the US politics, I think they were already lacking a lot of liberalism and individualism.

@Redwin34 I don’t know about that, less GDP and less money circulating around their economy is far more destructive than having some unhealthy food, plus countries food regulations vary greatly and McDonalds can actually be healthier in other countries outside the USA.

Honestly it’s all just a statement either way, it has very little influence on anyone who isn’t already a diluted ideologue of the influencers beliefs, it has no real effect on finances for these massive companies and or damage to brand image significant enough to actually stop a market from buying their products.

But no we aren’t in WW3, that’s if Nato sent Military force into conflict with Russian Military forces and would likely result in Nuclear deployment, however yes the the vast majority of western nations are actively engaging in Economic warfare in attempts to prevent WW3 and stop Russias invasion of Ukraine.

I mean I don’t agree with mass producing expensive bags by solely killing animals for their leather and nothing else, however if the leather is taken from an animal that was also used for food and the animals resources were all used after death and the product was affordable and actually had utility I am fine with leather items. However I agree these brand “fashion” companies solely killing animals for the production of their stupidly expensive and non utilitarian bullshit is sad, what a waste of resources for vanity.

I don’t think you understand why sanctions are being enacted, it’s because the west cannot mobilize a military force to defend or protect Ukraine via force because if Nato did we would be laying the groundwork for a nuclear war, that and Ukraine isn’t apart of nato currently anyways which complicates the politics more, the only way we can safely dissuade The Russian government from continuing the attack on Ukraine is to strain their infrastructure, hence sanctions.

Yes Russian citizens will get the shortend of the stick for awhile, but otherwise the rest of the world would just be letting Russia get away with war crimes and breaking of international law to invade another country if we didn’t put sanctions, it’s not about the west coming out favorably it’s about trying to prevent nuclear warfare and trying to force russia to see reason, so the Ukrainians don’t have to suffer longer or be conquered.

@RedButtonTV1 No Chernobyl has nothing to do with the Dangers of Nuclear warfare(Atleast as an event) but I do understand a worldwide misunderstanding has been in place involving nuclear reactors since the incident, despite it being a whole lot of human error which triggered that event.

Most fastfood is actually healthier in other countries because of a difference in Food regulations in foreign countries, so US companies have to modify they way they do business in other countries, portions are often smaller and the overuse of sugar is culled heavily, so no the US doesn’t export obesity to anyone but ourselves.

I think pro Russian actually means pro government imo, as I think a nation’s government is the nation, I don’t think civilians should be directly associated to their nationality as civilians often disagree and have no say in their countries actions on a geopolitical scale.

It’s not to attack the citizens it’s companies doing it for PR sake and in the case of government sanctions it is to damage the economy of Russia so they can’t keep funding a war effort.
