  5. SSRI's dont dampen depression, they stabilize your mood not make you happy, its about reaching that default neutral baseline rather than constant anxiety and fluctuating emotions. This idea that SSRI's make you happy or are supposed to make you happy is just so wrong. They help you maintain a normal emotional state, rather than a shitshow of one, but that doesn't mean you're just going to be happy and fulfilled by taking them.
