Tom Smith To be a special forces member you must be at top pique condition. No we should not lower the standards for anyone. To do so will end up with a operator that is ill prepared for the missions they are deployed to undertake. Then you end up with missions being compromised and dead operators. Nah if a woman wants to apply fine but she goes through the exact same training as her male counterpart. Period end of story. No lowering the bar. No tweaking the physical training. No passing if they can't pass. Then and only then will they become a operator. Understand Tom very few candidates for special forces make it to become what they seek to be. Thousands of males wash out every year and only a handful survive to make it. I suspect the same will be true of women. You heard the man on the video. Women tried the pre training classes to get prepared for buds and didn't make it. That isn't to say there isn't a woman out there who can but you wish to be a operator you have to earn it.

@Vince What this is in reference to is the stringent requirements of special forces training. The missions undertaken by seals, rangers, ranger tabbed, green berets, delta force are often under extreme conditions. You do not modify this training to allow for passage. The intent of these stringent training regiments is to weed out candidates. That is the point otherwise candidates that are not up to the extreme missions undertaken will lead to mission failure and likelihood the deaths of all who undertake such missions. This isn't about representation dude this is about a elite fighting force that needs the best of the best. Thousands of men are weeded out this way and with good reason the same should hold true for women. If they are strong enough mentally and physically to survive the weeding out process then excellent if not lowering standards only leads to filled body bags.
