Russia never said 3 days. They have three goals annexing all of Crimea that includes Odessa. Pushing the Azog regime 180 miles from the Russian border. Crippling Ukraines military to the stone age. @kaspertube512 The T54and t55 are being used as mobile artillery guns. They were given to Wagner after the grousing about a lack of short range artillery. T55 and T54 while not effective as modern front line attack vehicles can do well as support vehichicles for short range attacks. One tidbit of info is most 100mm armed t55s guns are rifled. Giving them a much more accurate punch with an effective range of 4.4 kilometers. It should be noted these tanks also have been retrofitted with more up to date targeting systems. This would give any infantry group a very good mobile platform for more robust shelling. Also there are anti aircraft turrets and rocket systems that can be used on said platform. Some things to consider if you don't mind.

Actually the west hoped it would fall in 3 days so they would have a martyr. Then point to Russian brutality as a way to isolate Russia. Far from the most densely populated areas freed the Russian army to bombard and artillery strike the Ukraine army into oblivion. So you honestly believe the propaganda being spewed by Ukiraine? In reality Russia has suffered the same amount of casualties as the US did in Iraq. If the Ukirainians were doing so great why are they unable to push back the so called Russian incursion?

Effective range of 4.5 kilometers. They aren't using them as Frontline tanks but as mobile short range artillery. Yea if Ukraine had bombers and the retaliation artillery to knock them out but since they don't they can shell them endlessly. It isn't odd at all. It is meat grinder tactics. They want Ukiraine to exhaust itself in primarily infantry assaults. Most Ukirainian infantry won't even see theRussian that killed them. Mortar, howitzer and 3k to 5k bombs. When Russians do engage with infantry, it is to pin down the Ukirainians with suppression fire followed by artillery barrage. Pin them down restrict their movement then bombard. In soledar it is estimated that 16 to 20k ukirainians where wiped out by howitzer and TOS 1A thermobaric ordinance. The Russians want them out in the open easier to pin point and artillery strike and bomb them to death. Once the Ukirainian forces are weakened enough the Russians will go through mostly uncontested. As to them not having the resources. 35 pct of their GDP is weaponry systems. They supply half the world with arms.
