Many global citizen will gradually learn that "western" democracy system is not effective in these days. "Western" democracy is just always talk about social movement, not social development.

@teeteetuu94 You must be know how wise parents teach their children to become someone great in the future. Yes, wise parents won't give freedom to the children in early days. But they will teach them how to be responsible, manner, and ethics in strict way to shape their character. Once the child gets adult and learned all the good things from parent, that's the time he/she will have their own freedom. It goes the same with running the country. The people should be taught and aware first. Strict first and then we talk about freedom after that. That's how Singapore and China can develop in such short time. While US is still stagnant because their people are actually don't understand the meaning of democracy, or not mature enough to fathom it.

@chickennoodle6620 Just face the reality that Mainland now is more developed and modern than Taiwan. HK and Taiwan were great back in 70s-80s, but the era has changed. There are more opportunity and innovation in Mainland, while Taiwanese still glorifying their old hay day. I never understand why Taiwanese always brag and proud about their "western" democracy, while at the same time we as global netizen can "enjoy" the Taiwanese govt often throwing fists and chair to each other during meeting. Chinese Mainland govt does offer scholarships as well, and many of students go aboard to western countries. But the story is surely different with Taiwanese. After graduate, Chinese students usually will back home, either for take care their parents or bring back knowledge they have learned from aboard. Then they utilize their knowledge and skill to build the contry and help the community. See how many western companies have been flocking to do invest in China in recent years? Even award-winning Chinese mathematician Ma Xiaonan and Wang Xujia have left their decades-long career in Europe to join teaching in univ in China.
