China: I warn you a coming pandemic! Some western: Naaah! Just a bigger flu. China: Everyone needs a mask. Some western: No! It’s not helpful. Healthy people need no masks. China: We quarantine the entire province! Some western: No, inhumane! Your country doesn't respect human rights. China: No gathering. Some western: Let’ party! It's our freedom of speech. China: The fatality rate is about 2% Some western: Don't worry! Just old guys. The youth will survive. . . ....after a while Some western: China is responsible for the panic. China: Yeah, I told you.

@glockman9c Western media said dr. Li Wenliang the whistle-blower was silenced and detained by authority due to spread rumor. But the real story is... Dr. Li brought by authority/local police to someplace and he asked to sign a letter "not to spread a rumor" that not still based on fa c t. Because previous days before dr. tell it to his college, the govt was already did investigation to the pneumonia-like illness. But at the time, this flu was still not clear and need further info. After he signed the letter, about tomorrow or 2 days later he came back to office and work like usual. His arrest reason was to prevent the rumor spread wider and would make people panic. If this happened, there would be millions Wuhan people move out from the city without knowing each of them could be a virus carrier. Just imagine if this situation happened before the lockdown... Of course, what dr. Li has done was not entirely false. But at such time, social stability should also be maintained. Sadly, his passed way was politicized by western media to demonized China. You don't believe it? Weeks ago, millions of Italian have moved out before the govt applied country lockdown. Just look at Italy right now.
