The term of "hanami should be in Japan" is a long mainstreamed trend as if we can only find sakura trees in Japan alone. But actually, we can even witness sakura blossoms in South Korea and China.

@equal5505 That's how trend became generalize and shaped our mind as mainstream. Just like Kiwi fruit which people always think of NZ, but actully it was originated from China.

@equal5505 The original native cherry blossom/Sakura actually is native to the entirety of eastern Asia. That includes Korea, China, Japan, Siberia, Taiwan. These have existed in these locations since before humans as a species even existed.
