@juanfran3924 Oh, so you don't have any argument except ad hominem? Fine with me.
1
@aldainhr3642 Ad hominem is only apply to the people you are talking with. Labeling a group of people you are not talking with is not ad hominem. Learn the difference.

Without hard work, those "luck" will just shy away from you.

The ancestors of today Americans were the unluckiest of their lot. And yes, that includes the blacks.

The astronaut example is flawed because if everyone of them have already work hard, of course the determining factor is their luck, because everyone's hard works are canceling everyone's hard works. *facepalm Now, if you pick people at random and test them to become astronaut, you'll see that work hard is the determining factor and luck only has minuscule effects to the outcome. Also I suspect the charity test was conducted among students in places like UC-Berkeley, where liberal pricks are in the majority, in other word, the test samples are already biased toward a certain attitude and belief. Because if you examine tax returns of the general populace, you'll see that the most generous subset of American people are the conservatives, the ones who most likely will say their success came from their hard works.

What happened with zinc selenide research? Nakamura was using galium nitride because there's few researcher tinkering with it. But there must be a lot of research documents for zinc selenide and with the same determination, scientists should be able to produce blue LED using it, right?
1
Now that our biology technology has advanced, why don't we breed nitrates producing bacteria? They will need less energy than machine, right?

Wow ... smort ...

I must say NO to analog AI. It will only lead to rogue robots. The thing about rogue robots is, it can only happens with analog computers. Consider: With digital computers, a malfunction robot will have seizure and everybody will know that they shall shut it down. With analog computers, a malfunction robot will still works but the calculations inside its "brain" will spew wild results, a command to "serve a cup of coffee to Jane" can transform into "shove cup into Jane's ass". Nobody will know that until our poor Jane has cup in her ass.

Give it to Japan to make it weird. 😅

And if your father is a lazyass, you won't get any chance at all even it you live right next door to the university. I know a lot of poor people whose children become highly educated, and none of them live near any university. You should thank your father perseverance instead of dismiss it as a mere luck. In his perseverance, he would find a way to make sure you are as highly educated as his effort can support even when no university was built near his home. You are ingrate.

Is that why women can't make up their mind?

I went directly to count the ratio, not how big the number is. Only children and stupid person will do that. However, on gun question, I will ask first, where did he get the data? Or is it fictitious? If it's fictitious, then I'll still give the correct answer with angry face😏.

Bernard London proposal for government mandated planned obsolescence was a fan fiction Bastiat fallacy.

@youteubakount4449 True. But it accumulates to the final tally.

@angelachouinard4581 The country is Indonesia. The airplane was Adam Air. They've been dissolved a few years later because of repeated "mistakes", some of which claimed hundreds of lives, which made most customers to stay away from them. They are the case study of How Not To Run An Airline.

Cmiiw, I read somewhere that it's not primate evolved trichromatic vision, but it's the mammals who lost their tetrachromatic vision. And carnivora (dogs and cats) lost it even more by going dichromatic.

Every additional switch needs power, both for move it and for it to do its function. I don't know how much power he can spare to have it added.
