  1. The Ottoman decline began with the relief of Vienna at 1683. Afterwards, the European powers (except France) created the Holy League to push back Ottoman from Europe. After the battle of Zenta, Ottoman ceded the majority of their gain from the previous centuries and stopped being a menace to Europe. Soon after that the Holy League was concluded and disbanded. It took several more centuries of individual actions by former members of the Holy League to actually kick Ottoman out of Europe (and even then Ottoman, and it's descendant Turkey, are still clinging to Constantinople and surrounding area).
