  2. Actually, it didn't happen to everyone. The airport will be clogged of they do that. Custom official usually let luggage through x-ray scanner. They only pick the ones they suspect on something, either by profiling or body language or if they saw something odd in their x-ray scanner. So yes, if only China passport holders were asked to open their luggage, there must be something about China passport holder that made them the target of profiling. People hate prejudice, but prejudice is a result from experience.
