@GraniteInTheFace I don't think USA get their asses handed to them. In the term of casualties, both Vietnam and Afghanistan had it really bad while USA "only" took several thousands. In both wars, what make USA withdraw were not the Vietnamese or Afghani forces. It's simply the USA citizen getting bored of the war. It's still popular among their soldiers though .. those psychos very much like to have live target practices.

It will do them more good by moving their industries to the east side of the island. But booby trapping their chip factories can be done as short term solution.

@BigPimp238 Now that everybody make a fuss on it, sure. But Taiwan almost sold those "secrets" to China just a few years ago. If you watched China Uncensored channel, they made some videos about it. How intact the factories is, depends on how fast the invasion is and how Taiwan's timing the reaction to it. I mean, it will be "funny" if Taiwan blows up the chip factory while China invasion failed to make any foothold in the island.

Don't forget that one of the most perilous thing an army does, is to cross water. If Taiwan can prevents China from crossing the strait for 24 hours (or push them back if necessary), the US and Japan will have a field day to not just to bloody China's nose but break China's jaw as well in the process.

That's what Russia did, and the US got Joe Biden which did nothing to prevent Russian invasion to Ukraine. Sure, he later supplied Ukraine with a lot of weapons, but wouldn't it be cheaper to both NATO AND Ukraine if Russia didn't invade? For contrast, all it needed was for Trump to trashtalk Putin to stop him from invading.

Umm .. no. Mao himself asserted that Taiwan was not a part of China. But he later reversed it and said Taiwan was part of China. Maybe because Jiang Jie Shi stubborn occupation of the island.

@romeolarenzo3929 You have fallen into SJW "changing the definition" ploy. Colonializing is sending your people to other land to live there. It's always that for thousand years. But SJW change it to fit their narrative. Just as "recession is not two quarter of negative growth", or "woman is not a person with XX in their chromosome", or "black people beating up Asian for no reason is not racism".

Why? All they need is several packets of C4 to fubar it. Other youtube channels already talk about aiming Taiwan missiles to Three Gorges Dam. That have the possibility of wiping out several of China major cities.
