Harry is a sucker himself. He didn't make clear the pay arrangement until after all the work is done.

It's not. Have the US still implemented the New Deal after World War 2, Soviet Union would win the Cold War, simply because the US would drag themselves down to Soviet Union level of progress. It just so happened that Roosevelt was forced to shutdown many of his New Deal components to meet the war time demand for increased production. While World War 2 was not the reason of the end of Great Depression, it had side effect that led to the end of Great Depression, namely the demise of New Deal.

"Government, is the problem." - Ronald Reagan

There's a lot of way to evade price control. When Britain was under price control, milk price was controlled by the government, but the bottle it was sold in was not. So the price of milk bottle rose while the price of milk was kept low.

The lesson : evacuate your family to USA before you start speaking out.

They have received public indoctrination since kindergarten.

Juice? What juice? Orange juice? Pineapple juice? Banana juice?

How about close down those bad schools and expand the good schools? Ever think of that, libtard?
5
@darthgrievous3678 New Deal was exactly what made the depression Great. Why should I give credit to the source of evil?

The best government is that which governs least.

What will happens without rent controls? The opposite of what happens with rent controls. Don't think too hard, with your brain capacity, that kind of exertion may be fatal.

As Thomas Sowell said, "It's a bigotry of low expectation."

Hoover created the depression, Roosevelt made it great.
4
No no no .. I'm not saying to go to all the expenses details. I'm just saying that you shall say it up front that it is an equal pay for everyone involved. Harry didn't say that before they began, and his brothers abused it, made convoluted reasoning that end up with him paying the most of the project.

If you have to choose between helping a drowning dog and a drowning man, keep in mind that dogs are wolves. Dogs are more capable of swimming than you. Help the man instead, for God's sake.

Because Ellie Jackson is either brainwashed useful idiot, or the brainwasher himself.

@matsal3211 What? Hoover did everything since day one. Nothing Roosevelt did that Hoover didn't do. Hoover longed for that day to come where he proved that government intervention could stop economic downturn on its track. When that day came, he would be ready, he would went full speed ahead with his "do something" plan right away. The reason people said he "didn't do enough" was because toward the end of his presidential term he got epiphany that after all of his "do something" with the ballooning budget, the depression seemed to linger. He started to reel back some of his "do something". Maybe because he felt something was wrong with his "do something". That's where Roosevelt came with accusation that Hoover "didn't do enough", and then quadruple Hoover budget. He made the depression GREAT.

Russia is not communist. Soviet Union was.

The reason private sector space vehicle did not exist until a few years ago is because the government money. Practically everyone are busy mooching for government money.

aroseland1, yes, He said that, didn't he? But you should do that with YOUR OWN MONEY, not somebody else money.

@Dan There are degrees of legality. Krauthammer said to give them permanent residency, not citizenship. The US don't have to evict them, they can stay and work in the US but cannot vote.
2
@James McClure You miss the part where Krauthammer said to have guards on the wall and surveillance systems and drones.

I read somewhere that Zimbabwe only got third place in worst inflation category. The number one was Hungary and number two was Germany, both in the same period after Great War. Granted, Zimbabwe got that third place because they stopped calculating it before it reached its height, so we don't know if it's actually took the trophy or not. And unlike the previous two countries, Zimbabwe just gave up and let their people to use other country's (more stable) money.

"When blacks weren't even allowed into schools because of their skin color, affirmative actions were needed" That is not affirmative action. It's equality of opportunity. "Maybe with a little adjustment for the bad schools that are in lower income areas" Now, that is affirmative action. And it's still wrong thing to do. As the narrator said, it will mismatch the students with the education given to them.

Just like Squidward with krabby patty.

@stacys7924 Yes. The consolation of being able to say, "I told you" when the airplane is about to crash is not worth my life.

Sounds like a great idea! With the best of intentions! What could possibly go wrong? Wait .. this is not ReasonTV 🤣

They have the wrong Somali at the Congress. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hoover created the depression, Roosevelt made it great.
2
@thebrinksf69 "Great as in worse. FDR prolonged the depression The end of WWII saved the economy, bringing in the capitalists to save the country" Now that's where you wrong, kiddo. Roosevelt made it great (worse) by, as you said, prolonged it. And also by spending hell lot more each year than Hoover. Hoover on his part, tried to repeal his stupid fight against economy downturn, which opened him to Roosevelt attack that "Hoover didn't do enough." The end of great depression was not at the end of WW2. It ended after Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The industrial leaders complained to Roosevelt that they couldn't met the production target in New Deal environment, and miracle happened, Roosevelt capitulated to their demands. Perhaps he feared to lose the war.

The slope from affirmative action to outright racism is indeed very slippery. Better save than sorry. Keep yourself away from affirmative action. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
2
There always exceptions. There were some. Some of the most famous was Kim Philby.
2
@ChiragVora You confuse Russia with Soviet Union.
2
@matsal3211 Your comment is usual stuff out of propaganda department.
2
Why this man is in PragerU again? He advocates big government and government interference in economy. Those are progressivism. Clearly not a conservative value. Are you drunk, Dennis?
2
They are the same.

That old lady is strawman argument.

Darien Long GRSE!, here's the history for you. It was the racist Democrats representatives who were argued for minimum wage law in the 1930s. They demanded it because the blacks actually took a big chunk of jobs because the blacks were eager to accept lower wages. So the racist Democrats wanted and got minimum wage law to push the blacks from the job market. And they are keep doing it today, to keep the blacks out of job and become dependent to welfare, to instill in the mind of blacks that it is only from the racist Democrats' generosity that the blacks can fed their children.

Michele Castellani, It's the US presence there that kept away the communist takeover. Japan and Germany (and lately, South Korea) achieve their prosperity by their own hardworks of course, but they were able to do that because of US protection. Had the US withdrew, the Soviet Union would moved in and those countries economic miracles would be snuffed away.

Accident do happens. But as the general rule, dogs are stronger than human. There is a news I read a few years back, where a family and a dog went to the beach. Somehow, the dog caught in a current and looked like it started to drown. The son jumped to the water to help it, and in he also got caught in the current. The father jumped to the water to help them, and he also got caught in the current. Then the mother jumped to the water too, aaand ... yeah. Finally the dog managed to swim out of the current, but the entire family was drowned. (I don't know if the news is true or not, given that the press were quite innocent towards hoax back then)
1
JuicyJ518, in any case, I'll choose to save the human, because dogs, a breed of wolves that they are, are more capable of swimming than I do. I hate when my effort is wasted on something that can be solved better by itself.
