  1. I think that's what "Vast" are doing. They use array of smaller plants instead of gigantic one, so the parabolic mirror configuration can be easier to manufacture.

  5. Two question : - Why don't photovoltaic power plants use the same energy storage as concentrated solar plants? What prevent them from doing it? You know, just like when Sony slowed down their Beta video cassette rotation to give it longer recording time, JVC just copied it to make their VHS video cassette longer recording time too. - Are there any research to combine photovoltaic with heat reflecting in one plate? Or maybe simply run radiator fins underneath photovoltaic plate, both for cooling it (cmiiw, photovoltaic cells are degrading under heat) and harvest the heat.

  7. They are just desperate, because their coal plants are killing their people (not just by damaging lungs, but somehow they made their coals radioactive). However, they need a lot of electricity or their economy will collapse. Especially during drought when Yangzi river system has turn into creeks and the Three Gorges Dam is close to empty.

  9. And then geothermal plants use up earth heat so much it causes the core to freeze. And we lost out magnetic shield. And everybody will die of solar radiation. Geothermal is worse than fossil fuel.
