@Alumnikiid Because China government is not a reliable lot. First, they have powers to set their currency value, powers like exchange rate and inflation rate, and they can also dictate how much bank interest should be (at the pain of death penalty to the bank directors .. no, I'm joking, or am I?). And secondly, as any other dictatorship country, the government also can seize your money (or maybe they will give you some IOU slip to be paid in 50 years .. after the inflation had degraded its value to nothingness). That's why any Chinese who can put their money abroad will do just that. One way of doing that is buy properties in another countries. Think of it like western people with money put their extra money in tax havens.
