  2.  @gemmeldrakes2758  I think so too. The expansion of popcorn was filled with air, while rice was filled with water. That gives rice more filling sense than popcorn.

  4. According to wikipedia, corn actually have a bigger production globally than rice, although it didn't specify how much is consumed by human and how much is used to produce ethanol.
