  1. That's ridiculous. In Australia we are paid for the extra by the power companies. Ironic considering Australia is always being bashed for being the country not doing enough. Roof solar is highly subsidised here.

  4. Interesting topic but I don't agree with defaulting all blame inventors for all subsequent damage related to said invention. Are we going to blame the Write Brothers for all deaths related to plane travel? Or blame the person who designed the first automobile for all road trauma? There's this thing called personal responsibility. At some point we must take responsibility for our decisions. That's why I'm against the ongoing bashing of corporates for everything that's wrong with the world. We all make choices.

  5. I would buy an EV now except they're too damn expensive and I suspect they will be for the foreseeable future. Additionally, most of our power comes from coal so they're not clean.
