  1. If the percentages were proportions of the whole (like a pie chart) then you would add them. It's a little confusing because there are so many figures presented and maybe he is mixing the two approaches.

  2. I would buy an EV now except they're too damn expensive and I suspect they will be for the foreseeable future. Additionally, most of our power comes from coal so they're not clean.
