  1. I don't see a problem with speculations sounding more like theology than "actual science". Some level of speculation (or thinking outside of the box) has always been part of the scientific process. Why rule out something simply because it sounds a little "theological"? That would be close minded in my opinion.

  3. I don't believe in the random chance explanation. It's a cop out. There're too many reasons to suspect a lot more is going on that we simply cannot comprehend. Like fish in a fish bowl - the measurable universe is merely the bowl. We're blind to the bigger picture (whatever that is) and probably always will be.
