  4. That's not entirely true. I was a Christian for 35 years. I was raised a Christian by my mother who was very religious. I'm not a dishonest person. I've never promoted deception. You need to realise that Christians believe what they claim and their preaching is usually motivated by love, not an attempt to deceive. What saved me from the religious indoctrination I received as a child (a kind of mind trap) was my deep interest in science. I eventually deprogramed myself through research over a two yeat period but it took a lot of courage, effort and intellectual honesty to push past the fear that is intrinsic in religion. So I would encourage you to be a little less harsh. There are a lot of people trapped in religion the way I was and I miss having them as friends. They were some of the most honest beautiful people I've known.

  5. Why don't others notice the stain? I notice everything about others... constantly. What they're wearing, even details like buttons, stains, are their cloths wrinkled, how they walk, are they wear a mask, are wearing it correctly... it becomes annoying. I just assumed everyone does this? They don't? I'm shocked.

  6. Maybe, maybe not. One can become too closed minded. Not saying Dave is but it happens a lot in even among scientists, people who should know better. And "smacking down" is not what science is about, rather, it's a journey of discovery..

  10. BitCoin seems to behave like a currency and a stock, albeit a stock with no intrinsic value, hence it's volatility. Yes, I would like a deep dive as I don't understand the attraction of crypto currencies, nor do I understand why people treat them like stocks when there are real stocks to invest in. Seems like a mugs game.

  11. I'm also more on the right but less so than I was pre pandemic. I was shocked by the tsunami of misinformation that came from the right and is still coming. I'm also shocked at myself for once being a fan of Matt W. A huge disappointment. I feel Dave did a pretty good job taking the rational position while Matt was just silly. But I now feel 'homeless'. Crazies on both sides.

  16. Why do documenteries on renewables always show steam coming out of cooling towers? Also, the wind very often stops blowing and the sun stops shining on a daily basis. Some days the sun barely shines at all.
