That's not entirely true. I was a Christian for 35 years. I was raised a Christian by my mother who was very religious. I'm not a dishonest person. I've never promoted deception. You need to realise that Christians believe what they claim and their preaching is usually motivated by love, not an attempt to deceive. What saved me from the religious indoctrination I received as a child (a kind of mind trap) was my deep interest in science. I eventually deprogramed myself through research over a two yeat period but it took a lot of courage, effort and intellectual honesty to push past the fear that is intrinsic in religion. So I would encourage you to be a little less harsh. There are a lot of people trapped in religion the way I was and I miss having them as friends. They were some of the most honest beautiful people I've known.
