  1. Syria is not just fine. It's a hell-hole riddled with poverty crime and violence. The standard of living is also low, no doubt due in part to sanctions and of course war and an awful government. Russia is heading in the same direction... hopefully quickly. Hopefully Russians will rise up and fight for a better life as part of the global community but I won't be holding my breath.

  2. A nation state as belligerent as Russia, a state run by thugs, and a state that invades annexes and commits war crimes and genocide on the scale and frequency as Russia does should not exist in the 21st century.
