  1. They are silly analogies. I was the skinny kid who got beaten up in school playgrounds. I know that experience all too well, but a war with a superpower involves a lot of issues not found in school playgrounds. I shouldn't have to spell it out. And "the one arm tied behind their back" is also a poor analogy and a massively overused one. A better approach is to talk specifics. That way, you'll have to back up those specifics with a reasoned argument. And this comment is not aimed at you specifically, far too many people are falling back on lazy analogies and cliches.
