I'm not American but just looking in from the outside... Obama came in with so much promise and hope. A black President. This had to be great, right? A new era of race relations and so much more. But in my opinion Obama was a failure. He promised so much and delivered so little. Some of that was touched on in this podcast. What did Obama do about Russia in 2014? Not much. How about Russia in Syria? Not enough and too slowly. Did he solve black American race relations? No. I would argue it's worse now. How about the American healthcare system? Still no good? Immigration problems fixed? No. And I have similar criticisms of Merkel. Was never a fan of either. I believe Merkel played an indirect role in causing brexit due to a mishandling of the European imigration/refugee crisis. And the obvious one, funding putin's war through gas sales. A severe lack of wisdom right there.
