  3. Well said. Rust is an absolute nightmare. I gave up. I've been a Windows application developer for 30 years, C and C++ mainly, and some assembly. Before that, I was a hoppy programmer... Amiga, C64 kind of thing. Mostly assembly language or machine code with those. But Rust... no thanks.

  6. C++ can do multithreading. I've done it. Shoehorning in a new language to do something that can already be done makes no sense to me. And Rust isn't signifantly faster if at all. Especially if your Rust compiler backend is LLVM. Little or advantage over C++.

  9. Windows 11 is better. Never liked 10. I stayed on 7 for years after support ended because 8/8.1 were awful and 10 not a whole lot better.

  12. Who the hell cares about so called "bloat". It's an exaggerated non problem. Those things you refer to as bloat in the top row are just applications. Having then there saves users from having to install them. Don't see a problem unless perhaps you're short on drive space?
