  2. Well said. Rust is an absolute nightmare. I gave up. I've been a Windows application developer for 30 years, C and C++ mainly, and some assembly. Before that, I was a hoppy programmer... Amiga, C64 kind of thing. Mostly assembly language or machine code with those. But Rust... no thanks.

  3. C++ can do multithreading. I've done it. Shoehorning in a new language to do something that can already be done makes no sense to me. And Rust isn't signifantly faster if at all. Especially if your Rust compiler backend is LLVM. Little or advantage over C++.
