@jetrpg22 What exactly are you saying? Atheism by definition requires no claims, dogmas, creeds, leaders or faith. I fail to see why anyone would consider atheism a religion except through ignorance. Even the term is misleading. It's not even an "ism".

@jetrpg22 I'm an atheist. I lack a belief in a god. That's all.

How is anything he said out of date? What he described is a current and growing problem.

Hansi Reichhardtsohn Then why are you here if it's all rubbish? You enjoy rubbish?

@nickelmouse451 Rubbish. Please stop dragging Atheism into it. That I lack a belief in a god says very little about my views on postmodernism or pretty much any other social or cultural issue.

They can if done right. We elimated community transmission. Two months with zero cases and zero deaths.

@wodenravens Thanks for your reply. I'm not well versed in Philosophy other than some basic undergraduate stuff, but I don't think we need to be to get value from this podcast. And it doesn't concern me whether Stephen Hicks is strictly correct on every point. I'm looking for the big picture ideas. I look at the world and see pretty clear patterns of convergence around a set of ideas, i.e. what we often refer to as "woke". I see common concepts and flawed logic flowing right through the set of "woke" ideas. What Stephen Hicks presented here pretty much slots into the picture. One of the most problematic concepts being the rejection of objectivity (if that's the right way to describe it).
