I liked him from the time he became PM and I still like him. He was badmouthed by the left for years. Maybe that had some effect on your feellings about him? I've always seen him as a solid honest hard worker who cared about his community. Not only did he contribute politically, he did a lot of service to the community e.g. firefighting for starters. But no one is perfect. He's clueless on climate. He talks about man's contribution and gets it totally wrong. He's also wrong about the Roman warm period. He's not a scientist. I also dissagree with him on Covid for instance. Australia handled the pandemic pretty well. Not perfect, but better than most.
