@uioplkhj Hardly recently. In any case, the two religions are very different fundamentally. Islam was founded in violence. Christianity wasn't... it was highjacked and used as a means of control by what became the Roman Catholic Church. There is nothing in Christianity that demands the death of unbelievers the way it exists in Islam. Christianity doesn't have an equivalent to e.g. the violent Islamic Hadiths. That's why Christianity can and was "tamed" but Islam cannot and will not. For context.. I was a Christian for 35 years - now an atheist.

@januarysson5633 It's not rocket science.. when you're up against a large number of enemies it makes sense to side with some for time and pit one bunch against the other.

@arashnayeb6106 They also played a role in trying to fix it.. an almost impossible task given the insanity the prospers in the region under the guise of religion and culture. Trying to tame radical Islamists would be akin to taming a rabid dog... impossible.
