Don't take offense. I think it's his style of presentation. He's been critical of my country (Australia) similarly but we also have our own standards authority which sets the rules for vaccines and drugs. We were also 'slow'.

@bidentity69 Saying that doesn't tell the full story. The SARS-CoV-2 vaccines specifically were all developed in less than a year. That's pretty damn fast. Some countries had authorized emergency useage only because trial results had not been fully considered.

Not sure what your point is here or how these figures might relate to say, the UK, but these two countries are atypical due to the very effective health policies in place. The virus didn't spread uncontrollably through these populations. Only in Victoria was there a significant outbreak but it was stamped out but tough and effective lockdowns.

You would soon figure it when the hospitals start overflowing and people start dying on the streets. Especially if you were one of them. Data obtained from testing is what tells us to take extra precautions. I don't see how it's funny?

You could calculate a ballpark figure from the data but there is no way to get an accurate figure. For me, this confirms what I had already concluded, that the death toll has not been overestimated in the official reports. It makes a mockery of the right-wing claim that most people are dying with covid, and not by covid.

@dancroitoru364 I missed three years of schooling and still completed two Bachelors degrees, majors in mathematics and computer science. Schools are overrated. Kids have years ahead of them. A few months missed with mean nothing a few years on. That said... no one is missing two years of schooling, right?
