  1. The only way to get mask uptake to effective levels is to mandate their use by law and fine those who don't wear them. Too many stupid people out there. As for not knowing anyone who's been sick... what is the relevence? Plenty have been sick but would you expect everyone to know someone who's been sick? It's random. In my country there were only roughly 28k reported cases of 26 million, so around 1:1000 yet I know 3 people who were sick and one who died.

  3. Related question... why is there a difference between the vaccines? We've be told 62% for Oxford, 95% Pfizer yet both produce the spike.

  4. I'm surprised there is any difference though I'm no expert. The same question could be asked re: the vaccines... i.e. the efficacy of the Oxford at 62% (reportedly) vs Pfizer at 95%. Why the difference and where does natural immunity sit on this spectrum?
