  1. Well regarded virologists consistently disagree with the increased transmisibility theory. For starters, the terminology is wrong. There's nothing about these variants that enable them to transmit differently. The don't grow wings. They're still the same Corona viruses form fundamentally. And the math is likely flawed. How does one variant overtaking another within a community prove that it's significantly more infectious? There are very many parameters to consider. Using logic like B is 1.4x A and C is 2x B, therefore C is 2.8x A based entirely on correlation seems overly simplistic, flawed and bordering on scaremongering.
