  1.  @bootburner4544  That's because no one, I repeat no one knows how many other cases are out in the community. Waiting a week or a month to lock down would only increase the rish of a bigger wave and a longer lock down. It's not rocket science.

  2. True, but it's starting to bug me that our state governnent seems to be incapable of running a successful quarantine system. NSW must have brought 100,000 through their system while we're suffering our second failure running at third the rate. I'm hoping it will be contained but I hold little hope.

  3. I don't believe missing a few weeks of schooling would do any harm. I missed 3 years and still completed two Bachelors degrees. Children have their whole lives ahead of them. Any belief that schools will not be able to compensate for missed time is an admission that schools are incompetent. Hell, my son preferes remote learning and for myself, the opportunity to remote learn would have been a dream come true. I hated every last second of school. I used to wake in the mornings hoping the damn place had burned to the ground.

  4. No, we should be vaccinating pretty much everyone. Get that herd immunity established and as robust as possible.
