Australia's slow vaccine roll-out was due to supply shortages and media hype and rule changes around the az clotting issue. Some countries hoarded vaccines while others missed out. But we didn't leave it too late. We started vaccinating in Feb as did many other countries. And we had more than enough local az supply but it was deemed unsuitable for those aged under 60. I wish Dr Campbel would check facts. We're at 41% fully vaccinate (of eligible age) and increasing at an additional 5% per week.

Keep it simple. Vaccines do not stop infections (so called break throughs). Vaccines do a very good job of reducing the risk of severe disease and death. Everything else said is media noise.
