@jamesflaherty9250 Only an absolute fool would promote international tourism at the cost of lives and health of their own citizens. The tourism industry will bounce back when the time is right but that time is not now. We don't want thousand of infected travelers spreading disease in our communities.

@jerrygarcia4390 This guy thinks tourism is more important than keeping people healthy and alive. Anyone who believes tourism is more important than people's health must have lost their humanity. It's disgusting. There were too many people flying around for no good reason anyway.

That's why some lock-downs don't work. People break the rules. During our Melbourne lockdown, permits were required for work else $1600 fine. No one out after 8pm else fine etc. No mask, $200 fine etc. Public seated was removed or covered. Takeaways only, limits on distance and time away from home etc. It worked. We've only had a handful of cases since Oct 2020. Schools at back and the economy is recovering.
