  3. It's pretty easy to see 4 revolutions. That said, the question should have been thrown out and scores scaled appropriately. Choosing 3 just because it's the nearest of all wrong answers is still wrong.

  4. Relative to the viewer and the large circle, the small circle completes 4 revolutions as it completes one "orbit" of the large.

  7. Exactly what I thought. I calculated 4 but couldn't find 4 in the answer set.

  8. Not necessary. Sometimes a question is flawed and adjustments to student grades will be made. For instance, one solution... the question could be removed and grades scaled appropriatelly. This actually happened at the University where I studied. There are many reasons why there might be a large failure rate on a specific question in an exam. Such anomalies can be and should be detected statistically and investigated.
