  1. ​@MathQueenSusanne I understould you completely. Some people are too pedantic. I regularly encounter overly pedantic folk on programming forums. I think it depends on context. If you were lecturing at Harvard vs. YT, etc. In fact, saying 'roots of functions' clarified something in my brain that I'd always glossed over, even if not strictly correct.
