@Fizzbuzzbizzfuzz2 The limitation is that batteries are never going to come close the the energy density of aviation fuel. No where near. That's going to limit electric planes to a niche market. Don't ever expect to see battery powered wide body jets.

Yes, in some cases but simply impossible others. For instance, it would be impossible to eliminate automobiles in my city. The cost alone would be prohibitive. But even if it were made possible by some miracle, an automobile provides advantages that public transport never can... like privacy, convenience, cleanliness, security, punctuality... etc.

@MYNAMEISKLAY The process of restructuring has already started. Who is waiting? People have been installing solar panels on roofs and building wind and solar farms for decades. My country has already closed down 30% of it's coal generation. People are already buying electric cars. Our trains and trams are all electric. Who is waiting?

@MYNAMEISKLAY You'll never get anywhere with Russia but china is already involved in the transformation. Where do you suppose most solar panels are manufactured? That's right, China. Same goes for electric cars. Search for solar and wind farms in China. They're transforming but it will take time and a lot of burnt coal to get there.

That's propagands. A complete misrepresentation of the facts. And it's not just about the readings. There is plenty of supporting and correlating data demonstrating an increase in mean global temperature. You're parroting global warming denier talking points.
