  1. Flattening the curve is and was always a dumb concept. The US, UK and many others failed to take control. So much mismanagemen and the death toll tells the story. Countries like Australia and NZ show how it should have been done. They didn't flatten the curve, they crushed the curve. As for depression being up... wouldn't you think mass death and widespread disease might be a contriibuting factor? Perhaps millions of people losing loved ones might be a factor? I would rather be locked down than lose my wife, or a parent or grandparent.
