  1. Why do they call them a "stack"? Seems like a stupid name for a bunch of software tools and applications? A stack is memory used by an executing application for temporary local storage of a stack frame, local variables etc... at least that's what I'd considered a stack to be for the past 40 years. Guess I learned something.
