Well said Jordan Peterson.

Spot on there.

@carloduran2961 Bullying is a real and sinister cancer that should be stamped out. We see it in many forms, all the way from the toddler who steals other kid's toys to despots like Putin
1
@mensrea1251 It also makes better sense strategically.

LOL

I'm wondering which NZ values Jordan Peterson is threatening... New Zealand is a structurally racist country. I'm not saying most Kiwis are racist but I am saying racism is intrinsic to the country. I lived there for 35 years but left because of the racism. It's Maori this and Pakeha that... constantly pitting one side against the other and there's a lot of anti Asian sentiment as well. New Zealand needs a day to celebrate its achievements and to bring everyone together but instead there is Waitangi Day with all of its backward looking protests, divisiveness and virtue signalling.

I think you're over complicating it. I would most people have an interest in this topic know pretty well what is meant by political correctness and wokeism. They're both involve a highly authoritarian unbalanced and unrealistic altitude toward human interactions. Wokeism takes it even further and becomes downright divisive by weaponising gender and race. This is the pathological left.
1
He's justifiable annoyed. Personally, I think Twitter is so toxic that it would be doing humanity a big service if it was shut down. Either that or fix it. I closed my account when Trump was banned. Not because I'm aTrumpian, but on principal. I believe in free speech.
1
No. They're just flawed generalisations. Not even close.
1
I doubt Jordan and Chomsky would agree on anything. I don't understand the attraction of Chomsky?
1
Isn't it strange how people can differ so greatly? I hate dogs. They give the shits. They cause panic attacks and stress. If I see a dog walker or hear a dog barking I'll often have a complete meltdown and I'll feel ill for hours after. Wearing noise cancelling phones 24/7 helps as does valium but I'm basically a prisoner in my own home... yet you choose to walk a dog? I don't understand the attraction of dogs?
1
I feel you're over thinking this. What Gaad is talking about here is really quite simple. A lot of what people argue over is just semantics.
1
There is only one rational side to this.
1
Your comment is incomprehensible. Shall I assume english is not your primary language?
1
They position themselves on the far left.
1
Every time I click on A Jordan Peterson video, I get the Ben Shapiro "what is a woman" add.
1
Douglas Murray is right leaning on balance
1
@MM-vs2et What did you mean by income disparity?
1
What?
1
A lot of admiration for this man. Wish more politicians could communicate this well. I'm mildly conservative myself but there is one thing the conservative side isn't good at and that's health care. That became painfully obvious during the pandemic. An over emphasis on individualism and effective pandemic management are incompatible goals. This is by definition. Pandemics and epidemics are community wide issues that needs to be managed as such.
1
It's most likely true that "God" only exists in people's imagination, so yes, not A God.
1
That was beautiful and enlightening.

A foundational concept in Christianity is the idea of inherited guilt / original sin. The idea that one is born a sinner. It's evil and destructive. Born sick and commanded to be well under threat of eternal damnation. That's Christianity.
1
@BigSplenda1885 It is filling a void but that void is more about a lack of reasoning ability than anything. Wokeness and traditional religions all rely on a lack of critical skeptical reasoning. Faith (gullibility) the acceptance of unsubstantiated claims forms the foundation of religion and wokeness. The glue that holds it all together is emotion.
1
@anonnymous7009 You have that backwards.... Christianity is based on guilt and fear. There is nothing positive about that. I was raised a Christian, brainwashed as a child by my mother, I lived with the guilt and fear for 30 years until I discovered the truth about the origins of Christianity and was set free.
1
Trump is clownish but so os the first minute of this video. Too ridiculous to waste 8 more minutes on.
1
Triggernometry is like the proverbial broken clock.
1
@dfredankey People saw chauvin as racist.... why? Where was the evidence? Too many people scream racism for no good reason. Right there is what's tearing society apart. Wokeness. Taking the knee and all the rest of it.
1
I agree with your guest on the housing crisis. It's a similar issue where I live in Australia. But isn't it all about supply and demand? Immigration and incredibly low interest rats have inflated demand and therefore prices. Can this be fixed? Probably not without a lot of pain.
1
We need to stop thinking in terms of "black people" and "white people".
1
Chomsky on politics is massively overrated in my opinion. He's nuts. Should have stayed with language theory.
1
Ive listened to all of his podcasts, including the ones you're referencing. Bottom line: he didn't say that. You'd better listen again but this time think a little deeper on what he's saying. They were hypothetical thought experiments, not little instructions.
1
Clear and present danger is still on the left. The only thing changing is their increasing power.
1
I would be more sceptical of a Russian discussing Russian politics.
1
White peoples are more adapted to colder climates with less sunlight. I personally prefer cold weather over heat. My forebears are European and Scandinavian. My ideal climate would be Scotland. So for some folk it's a choice but for most it's historical. You live where you are born.
1
You sound deranged? Are you serious?
1
Even a broken clock can be right sometimes
1
All three "Abrahamic" religions have at their base, the same bronze age myths. Just three different angles on the same nonsense.
1
Correct. Putin is bad.
1
@steven5054 And you have a problem with Peterson "making a killing"? He'll only be successful if he's providing something useful, in which case the "killing" is deserved.
1
I agree with you on love and working together but the pandemic response has convinced me that it's not possible. Too much selfishness on display. It was appalling.
1
@EPlTHANY Quite a lot actually.
1
LOL
1
What?
1
I am an atheist and I have a lot of respect for Jordan Peterson. And he is correct, many atheists have spent a great deal of time contemplating the concept of God and religion.
