  1. I like what you said but it doesn't take away the negatives. And some of those negatives were on display in Iraq and are still on display in many countries. As Sam Harris has often said, "bad ideas lead to bad actions". As much as I yearn for a peaceful world, Sam's words always hit home. The problem is that in many religious texts, there are good ideas and bad ideas and no way to unambiguously determine which of those ideas are wrong. I have spoken to Muslims about these things and they tell much nothing is wrong. We saw clearly in Iraq that the dominant Islamic group at one time believed the peaceful parts were wrong and we all saw the results.
