You don't have to meet one to know they exist. You know they exist; else you've been living under a rock for the past 20 years. That said, I've never met an evil person from any religion. Maybe it's to do with where you live? I was a Christian for 35 years and never met an evil Christian. But the idea that one can judge a whole group just based on those members one has actually met is not rational. I often hear a similar argument from Muslims after a "religious debate"... they'll say something like "have you ever met a Muslim?". As if meeting one says much about the other 2 billion. It's about the ideology, not the people.

Sarcasm, I hope? There is no Islamophobia in this comment section. Islamophobia is not a thing.

It's not strictly a double standard. We need to know what words mean. There is no equivalence between antisemitism and islamophobia. Antisemitism is racism. islamophobia is just a stupid word design to stifle debate. Yeah, if the wrong term is used then it should be called out, but let's not get bogged down in "whataboutism".

Not really. Anti-Semitism is racism. Islamophobia is just a silly word invented by radicals to shut down debate.

Within the context you give, yes, but too often the centre is maligned. I'm in the centre politically. I'm also pretty well informed on current events, religion etc. I don't view being in the centre as a negative. To me, it's the default position, and it's where one stays who hasn't joined a team. I consider every issue on its merits. I support a mix of liberal and conservative policies. I have voted left and right in the past. Both the left and right extremes are full of crazy people.
