Trump is not responsible in my opinion. He is not the first leader to speak in an encouraging way to the base but one would need to be fully disingenuous to claim Trump wanted a siege. I suspect he was as shocked as anyone. What I saw was a leader communicating poorly to a bunch of far right fanatics, many bordering on insanity. But on the left we have equal insanity just packaged differently. Sam still appears to be suffering from TDS as is anyone else who believe Trump called for a siege. It beggers belief that some as nuance as Sam can't decide the difference between rhetoric an actual literal request for violence. Trump is nearly all rhetoric. Sad that the left have never figured that out (interpreting everything as lies)... and the far right who read between the lines incorrectly.
