@brettvogel8418 Not really. There is a cost to production and the selling price is not fully under the producers control. That's more clearly seen with oil... if oil costs $40 to produce then there's no money in it if it sells for $40. Right now Russia's margin has fallen to around $30 a barrel on falling volumes and that's not factoring in discounts to get around sanctions. So it's not always about energy companies. But if you believe profits are too high then buy stocks.
