The Australian first people are Australian citizens with equal rights. They can be found in every work of life and level if society. That was a ridiculous analogy. Of course indiginous ethnicities have a claim to their historical homelands. The Jewish people have a very long connection with the land. There have been Jews living there for most of the past 3000 years. The only exceptions would be when they've had to flee due to persecution. Can you imaginoin the outcry if an Australian "native" was refused entry into Austraia. You're telling us that from now on, the indiginous populations (Jews) should be refused entry into their own historical culturel home? Really? Bottom line... Jews were in Israel 3000 years ago, 2000 years ago, 1000 years ago and now and most times in between.

  19. That Australia is huge and sparsely populated is not a good reason to add large numbers of refugees into the mix. Where are they going to live? In the outback? The large cities are already overcrowded and the cost of living is extremely high. We cannot even solve our own homelessness problems. It makes no sense to bring in large numbers of people from different and incompatible cultures and religions who will have major problems with integration. If more are going to come then the relevant agencies need to be extremely selective else we will have Islamists sneaking in and Australia will become like Sweden or Belgium or France.
