That Australia is huge and sparsely populated is not a good reason to add large numbers of refugees into the mix. Where are they going to live? In the outback? The large cities are already overcrowded and the cost of living is extremely high. We cannot even solve our own homelessness problems. It makes no sense to bring in large numbers of people from different and incompatible cultures and religions who will have major problems with integration. If more are going to come then the relevant agencies need to be extremely selective else we will have Islamists sneaking in and Australia will become like Sweden or Belgium or France.
