Alex Wagner "Those fighters are using Islam as an excuse to fight, they do not represent the values of Islam"... Wrong on both points... Those fighters are motivated by their religious beliefs and they do represent the values of Islam (albeit their own extremely literal interpretation). There is no definitive set of Islamic values. This is religion. No one gets to define what 'true' Islam really is, any more than one can define true Christianity. It's all about cherry picking a bunch of ambiguous, contradictory and inconsistent man made texts.
