  1. Brandon Nicolas It's not about two wrongs equaling a right. Who said there were two wrongs anyway? It's about consistency, honesty and integrity and defending one's principles. Other countries apply rules as they see fit without kowtowing to external pressures and other cultural norm, so why do we kowtow to theirs? Why do we drop acceptable standards of behavior just to appease some minority group? Answer: political cowardice.

I cannot think of any rational reason why a Muslim women would chose to frequent public places in full niqab + face covering unless to be noticed or to be socially divisive. In the west, walking around in public places. malls, shopping centers etc. with face covered is considered downright rude by most rational people.

Derna1804 So we should just allow Nazism, the KKK and various forms of fascism to flourish because if we ban them "we will have abandoned the light of Western culture and adopted the close-mindedness of authoritarian Middle-Eastern societies" ? Right? Where should we draw the line? Why can't we as a community decide on acceptable standards of behavior and enforce them? We already do, don't we? What's the difference in principle between banning the burqa in public places and for instance banning offensive speech or banning being naked in public places? Why does Islam always get the free pass?
