  1. There is nothing wrong with using a subset. We use a subset of the english language as well. It's not a problem when a language offers many ways to say the same thing or to describe subtleties. That's why I love C++. It's like C, which I also like, but it provides many other useful features to choose from. I'm rather tired of people who believe they can do better and sell the concept by bashing the current offerings.
