  17. There's a little more nuance to be had. Is Turkey really playing the same game as Iran? Not really. Egypt? It's mixed. Saudi? Well, Saudi was apparently getting closer to Israel, but there was also talk about Saudi and Iran getting closer... Shiite and Sunni, friends? I don't buy it. Iran and Saudi hate each other.

Whether WMDs were found subsequently or not is irrelevent. They were used. That said, there are arguments each way on the pros and cons of that war.

  20. Is Elon Musk a military expert? Right now Ukraine is winning on the ground. But should Russia be permitted to repeatedly annex chunks of territory from sovereign nations and commit grnocide within them? When does it stop? Does it ever stop? Ever wondered why Russia is so big? It's because Russia is like a metastasising cancerous lump and Ukraine has just been infected. What happens when cancerous lumps are left untreated? What would Elon Musk do? Easy to talk about negotiating when it's not his country on the line. Besides, what's the point of negotiating with a terrorist state the never keep's it's promises? What compromise would Putin make? He wants Ukraine gone in it's current form or at a minimum turn it into another puppet state.

  26. The interviewer was ridiculous in criticising Biden for "hamstringing" Ukraine. Did he forget that the US has been the biggest doner of military support? Not a good look. Did he also forget that trump apparently wants to throw Ukraine under the bus and abandon Europe? Well done Jake in spelling it out.
